TERMS & CONDITIONS
By registering to attend the Summit, attendees, including speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, agree to the following terms and conditions:
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made through the registration page.
Cancellations received on or before 21 June 2024 will incur a 20% cancellation fee.
Cancellations received on or after 22 June 2024 are non-refundable, however transfer of registration to another attendee is acceptable. Modification must be done through the registration page.
The Summit Host and the Summit Managers accept no liability for additional costs incurred by attendees and recommend all attendees take out personal insurance.
Insurance (in-person)
Registration fees do not include insurance. It is strongly recommended that attendees take out insurance covering cancellation fees for registration, travel and accommodation, as well as personal injury and loss or injury to property, including baggage.
Neither the Summit Host nor the Summit Managers take any responsibility for any attendee failing to arrange their own insurance, and are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance. In the event of industrial disruptions or force majeure, the Summit Host and the Summit Managers accept no responsibility for losses incurred by attendees.
Summit Scheduling
At any time prior to the Summit, times of advertised events, sessions and speakers may change without notice. The organisers reserve all rights to cancel or postpone the Summit or to change the venue, speaker presentation times, and dates of various events without prior notice.
Force Majeure
In the event FinTech Australia is prevented from carrying out its obligations as a result of any cause beyond its control, such as but not limited to acts of God, war, acts of terrorism, airline flight cancellations, strikes, lock-outs, flood, commercially unfeasible or failure of third parties to deliver goods or services, FinTech Australia shall be relieved of its obligations and liabilities for as long as fulfillment is prevented.
Recording and Photography (in-person)
By registering for the summit, all attendees agree to themselves and/or their presentation/s being recorded and/or photographed. Attendees consent to their images, audio and/or video recordings being reproduced for subsequent use in the media, webcasts, internal and external promotional purposes, advertising and inclusion on websites and social media. Images are shared publicly with open access for use.
FinTech Australia Data Privacy Statement
By registering for a FinTech Australia Summit, you agree to allow FinTech Australia to use your personal information in registration and notification of activities related to the User Group and the Summit. By registering, you agree to receive email and/or print communications from sponsors of the Summit unless you specifically opt out of sponsor communications by emailing the Summit Managers. FinTech Australia does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others
CODE OF CONDUCT
The Summit Host and the Summit Managers are committed to providing a summit that is safe and welcoming for all attendees, where all attendees are treated with respect and dignity and are free from discrimination and harassment.
By registering to attend any aspect of the summit, including but not limited to, summit sessions, catering breaks, social events and all communications including email and social media, it is mandatory for all attendees to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:
Treat all with respect, dignity, impartiality and courtesy;
Respect the privacy of all;
Not discriminate in respect of gender, gender orientation or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion or age;
Maintain a cooperative and collaborative approach to interpersonal relationships;
Ensure that they are not involved in or encourage discrimination against or harassment of any other persons, including other attendees, the Summit Hosts and the Summit Managers;
Ensure that their actions are not inhibiting, offensive, disruptive or negative towards other persons, including other attendees, the Summit Hosts and the Summit Managers; and
Ensure that they do not support, condone or encourage in any way any protest or potential protest against the summit or its subject matter.
If anyone experiences or becomes aware of any violations, or potential violations of the above Code of Conduct, such instances should be reported to the Summit Host or the Summit Managers. All reasonable precautions and endeavours will be used to protect the anonymity of persons reporting violations, or potential violations.
The Summit Host and the Summit Managers, at their sole discretion, reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the venue and the summit, at any time, any attendee not adhering to the above Code of Conduct or deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour. Such removal does not constitute a right to a refund of any fees paid, or a refund of any travel and accommodation expenses incurred for travel to the summit. Not only will any offender forfeit their right to attend the summit, they will also forfeit their right to deliver an oral or poster presentation at the summit.
